*** Service Advisory: Carpet-Bombing DDoS Attack & Restoration Update
Dear Maximilian,
Over the last 24 hours, *** has been the target of a large-scale "carpet bombing" DDoS attack against our infrastructure. Unlike a typical attack aimed at a single target, this campaign has been directed at every IP address across every subnet, and at every point of presence (POP) where we operate.
The scale of the attack was significant enough to impact multiple upstream providers, not just our own network. Since the incident began, our team has been working continuously alongside several suppliers and transit partners to mitigate the attack and restore service.
Current status:
- As of this morning, the majority of our network has been restored to normal operation.
- *** remains affected. We are working with the utmost urgency to secure additional IP transit to bring this location back online as quickly as possible.
We sincerely apologise for the disruption this has caused to your services. We understand the impact an outage of this nature has on your operations, and resolving it fully is our highest priority.
We will continue to provide updates as the situation develops and as *** is restored. If you have any questions in the meantime, our support team is available to assist.
We have created an off site service status page https://***/ <>
Thank you for your patience and continued trust in ***.
Kind regards,
